Hi, my name is Steve Berry. I am a professional full time ASHI approved home inspector. I have been a licensed home remodeling contractor in the Maryland – DC area since 1987. In 2020, I decided to pursue a career in the home inspection industry. While I was attending classes, taking tests, and filing applications, I was attending monthly meetings of the local American Society of Home Inspectors. It was there that I met Jeremy Provan, founder of Provantage Home Inspections. I “shadowed” him on a few inspections, and soon began working for him. I was very impressed with his methods of inspecting, and equally impressed with his report writing. In fact, I was so impressed that when Jeremy informed me that he was thinking about retirement, I jumped at the chance and bought the company. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. And I discovered something about myself in the process: I LOVE inspecting houses!

Hello, my name is Jeremy Provan. I started ProVantage Home Inspections in 2005. After working for another inspector for a few years, I developed a desire to perform my inspections at a higher level than the minimum standards require. And this has been a large part of the ProVantage philosophy ever since – to provide a high level of service in a comfortable, easy to understand format.
